Review: KBS C-Taper Lite Golf Shafts

Actually. When was the last time? Perhaps you thought about what flex when you purchased irons you might want. When was that? Two years past? Five? Ten? KBS is an organization that continues to be thinking a lot and its new C-Taper Lite offering reveals that depth of idea. Critical thinking by KBS maybe a few more yards to your match and means precision.
Kim Braly is the man/ ality. The Project X shaft was developed by him. With the C-Taper Lite, the KBS engineers and Braly have created a shaft that optimizes twist, launching features and energy transport, delivering what KBS says is up to five added yards. The shaft is not heavier than other KBS offerings, making the C-Taper Lite appropriate for a broader variety of handicaps. Twist and an increased launch angle can also be helpful.
KBS C-Taper Lite Golf Shaft

Maybe "Lite" has an adverse connotation to some, but to those that hit the C-Taper Lite, these shafts are the actual deal. How light is "Lite"? C-Taper Lite shafts are 10-20 grams lighter than fit a broader variety of golf handicaps and the first C Taper spear.

There were two test sets, one for a low-handicap group of golfers, another -handicappers. When shafts were installed and analyzed, both groups had the exact same reaction - wow!

Low-handicappers used C-Taper Lite in S flex 1 -inch. Weight was 110 gs (C Taper is 120 grams). Reactions were uniform the shaft was smooth, never ballooned although started immediately, and did deliver about five yards more. The higher spin guarantee from KBS didn't appear to dissuade examiners from a performance and feel sanction.

Mid- handicappers used routine flex installed not tipped. Weight was 105 grams per shaft. Here the ball had not a problem . Additional aerodynamic lift was provided by the additional twist and added stopping power on strategies - all positives. Most of the remarks revolved around feel that was astonishing. For a rotating shaft which is assumed to have a stiff point, this rotating shaft felt super simple to swing. I believed that I had been liberated from a hefty, rebar- without feeling like I needed to visit graphite feeling steel golf shaft.

Continuous taper layout (thus the name C Taper name) and wall depth that is proportional a part of these shafts' secret sauce, but what's difficult to describe is precision and the feel of the C-Taper Lite. The ball will not proceed from its planned course, what is really remarkable about these shafts is that, once started. Really, quite precise. This is the case for the low-handicap and mid-handicap groups. This does not mean that players couldn't draw or fade, but straight shots acted like they were following a line that is painted. Those and Shots into the wind acted like they were military drones.

Satin shafts are not just elegant, but practical, no unpleasant reflections.

Bottom line? You had have a high probability to help your match by giving an attempt to the KBS C-Taper Lite golf shafts.

  1. I totally agree, as a 6.6 hcp and 55 years of age I played S300 and KBS tour in my 'worn down' Miura's. The Mizuno fitting center (with swing DNA) let me try the C-Taper Lite S, the 110 grams. Previous I had difficulty loading my shaft, the C-Taper lite suited me much more a I hit time over time little baby draws with a astonishing similar ball flight :-) I had them mounted in the Mizuno 850 forged with Boron for also some additional length without sacrificing accuracy thanks to the C-Taper, and I'm very happy with them !!
